Nystrom & Associates, Ltd., offers group therapy for individuals struggling with a variety of issues including anger management, grief & loss, depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, and more. Group therapy provides individuals with a peer support system that allows them the opportunity to share and discuss issues with those going through similar situations themselves, all the while being directed and led by a highly qualified mental health professional.
Women’s Recovery from Depression and Co-Dependency Group
Location: New Brighton Office: 651-379-1707
Group Details: Therapeutic and supportive group for women who have had problems with depression/co-dependency issues, including care taking others and losing sight of their own needs and/or having addiction recovery issues affecting their quality of life and functioning.
Group Facilitator: Diane Baker, MSSW, LICSW, LAD-C
Day/Time: Monday Evenings
Eligibility: Women ages 18 and over dealing with the above mentioned issues looking for increased support, improved self-esteem and solution oriented problem solving and recovery. All interested individuals need to schedule an intake evaluation with Diane Baker to determine appropriateness for group. Most insurances accepted.

This group format includes psycho-educational material and presentations with guided group discussions providing opportunity for interaction to process feelings and concerns, set goals, and learn new coping skills.

Group Details: This group works with individuals striving to stay free from chemical dependency and helps to develop strategies to avoid relapse. This group also works toward identifying triggers associated with relapse and how best to handle them.

Eligibility: Individuals ages 18 and up who are involved in individual therapy and who are looking to stay free from chemical dependency relapse. Most insurances accepted.

Eligibility: Individuals ages 18 and up are eligible to attend this group and will also be involved in one-on-one DBT therapy. Most insurances accepted.
