The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health defines sex addiction, or sexual compulsivity, as, “…a persistent and escalating pattern or patterns of sexual behaviors acted out despite increasingly negative consequences to self or others.” It has been estimated that as many as 14 million Americans struggle with sexual behaviors that interfere with their ability to live a normal life. That equates to roughly 5% of the US population, or one out of every 20 individuals (sash.net).
Nystrom & Associates, Ltd.’s (NAL), outpatient Sexual Addiction Recovery Program is designed to help individuals understand and overcome their addiction.
NAL now offers a Spouse/Significant Other Program for women whose husband or significant other is struggling with a sexual addiction. Click here for more information.
