Program for adolescents ages 13-18 that display:
Our adolescent DBT program sticks closely to the model presented in the Miller, Rathus, and Linehan text "Dialectical Behavior Therapy With Suicidal Adolescents".
Adolescents begin with several individual therapy appointments to commit to the treatment. At least one of the adolescent's parents is required to attend the weekly skills training group with their teen. Parents must come in for a one time initial assessment and also participate in family therapy sessions throughout the treatment. The adolescent and their parent(s) attend an eighteen week skills training program. Weekly therapy is required during this eighteen week program. Clients and their families can then decide to continue weekly skills group or move into after-care with their individual therapists.
