Registered, Licensed Dietitian provides group Nutrition Education:

Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Eating Group - Starts March 17th

  • 8 Week Group
  • Meets one time per week at New Brighton location
  • Each Group is 90 Minutes in Length
  • Meets Wednesdays from 10:30am-2:00 p.m.
  • Small Group Setting of 4-6 people

Upon completion of the group sessions individuals will be educated on Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Water, Fiber, Iron and Calcium. They will understand the food groups and serving sizes using the new Food Guide Pyramid. Individuals will be given a daily meal plan and educated on creating weekly meal plans and grocery lists. The class includes a short trip to a local grocery store to discuss nutrition food labels and prices per unit of foods. Scheduling individual sessions will also be available before, during and/or after completing the class.
