Interests:
I enjoy working with children of all ages within the family and school environment. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, which allows me to pick and choose techniques for each specific client in order to optimize treatment outcomes. I typically incorporate behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, systems theory, and solution-focused techniques. I have experience treating a wide variety of mental health diagnosis in children and adolescents. Previously, I have provided diagnostic and treament services to children and familes dealing with anxiety, attachment issues, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral problems, depression, fetal alcohol syndrome disorder, grief and truma. A specific clinical interests is the treatment of children exposed to early adversity, inculding those in both foster and adoptive placements, and those with early toxin exposure. Also of interest is the treatment of truamtic exposure, especially to children exposed to family or community violence. I greatly enjoy working within the family context to help children and their parents learn to cope with life's complications.
