Clinical Approach:
I work with clients in a holistic, collaborative approach, based on client needs. I have a passion for working with diverse groups of people, including teens and adults who seek: social and vocational growth and change, improve mental health, obtain appropriate services.
My clinical approach comes from several areas, including: strengths-based, collaborative, and solution focused therapies, among others. Our work together can help clients to: maintain independence while working and improving relationships, identify and address problems that “never seem to go away," learn how to complete tasks and reach goals, build plans to respond to future challenges, stress and crises.
Interests:
Individual, couples’ and family therapy, addressing growth and change across throughout one’s life (i.e., transitions to adulthood, parenting and aging, etc., AD/HD, anxiety, and mood disorders, including depression, anger, procrastination, commitments, work/family balance, forgiveness and reconciliation, immigrant and multi-ethnic couples and families, grief, loss and their impact on the family, Disability, vocational & career development, using acting, and expressive arts to help in therapy
Hobbies:
My interests include: music (guitar, trombone and voice), theatre/acting, drawing, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and eating cross-cultural foods!
