More About Brenda Tame
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy being working with all ages, with most of my experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults. My interests include, but not limited to depression, anxiety, attention and focus issues, behavior disorders, stress management, life transitions, and attachment issues.
Clinical Approach:
I strive to create a safe environment, creating a successful therapeutic relationship where the clients feel respected and heard. I believe in meeting the client where they are, which is why I like to take a strengths-based approach when working with clients. Other approaches that I like to incorporate in my practice to assist clients with goal attainment include Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment therapy. I realize that each person is unique and that there is not a "one size fits all" approach, but a combination of clinical approaches that best assists the client with being successful.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, my puppy, and traveling. Growing up in Maine, I spent a lot of time out in nature and look forward to doing the same thing here in Minnesota. I enjoy trying new things/experiences and growing my list of hobbies.
