I am passionate about providing support for clients with substance use and mental health concerns. I work with adults experiencing a variety of mood disorders; including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, and bi-polar disorders, and those experiencing trauma/PTSD, panic disorders, and personality disorders. I also work with individuals struggling with stress management, codependency, anger, shame, guilt, self-esteem, grief/loss, and drug and alcohol concerns.

Clinical Approach:

My clinical approach is theoretical integration and client centered. I focus on the quality of the person to person therapeutic relationship with my clients to facilitate client awareness and emotional growth utilizing a compassionate, empathetic, and trauma informed approach. I utilize multiple approaches in a holistic manner in order to focus on utilizing an approach or combination of approaches that best fits each client and their individual circumstances. A few of the approaches I incorporate into my practice are; Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) , and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Hobbies:

I am a Therapy Dog Community Volunteer through Therapy Dogs International and love taking my therapy dog to visit various institutions/locations to provide affection, comfort and support to individuals. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, going to the movies, going out to restaurants and reading.
