More About Charles Bloom
Clinical Interests:
My passion is helping adults who have been Domestic violence survivors, and adult males struggling with finding purpose and drive for their life. I have facilitated anger management groups and worked with individuals struggling with anger. I have experience with addiction, trauma, anxiety, ranging from different cultures, and demographics.
Clinical Approach:
I firmly believe in a humble approach to therapy, in that I’m there to guide where you would like to go. you are the expert of yourself, and therefore know best what should be presented in session. I like to start off building trust and a therapeutic alliance, where when ready you take the lead and present the reasons for coming to therapy. Person centered therapy, Motivational interviewing, CBT, are my strengths in the therapy realm. Identifying the underlying problems and building a therapeutic plan to address them are the building blocks to understanding and learning how to cope with them.
Hobbies:
Too say that I'm an outdoors and sports person would be an understatement. My hobbies are all centered around sports and outdoors. I like to fish, hunt, attend sporting events, as well as watch them. Hockey is my favorite, and the Chicago Blackhawks are hands down the greatest team ever "Go Hawks". Faith and spirituality are also a big part of my life that basically hold it all together and give me strength.
