More About Christina Ruud
Clinical Interests:
My specialty is therapy in-home, school, and the community working with family issues, blended families, communication, trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief & loss and adjustment concerns.
Clinical Approach:
I work with young people, ages 5 to 21 years old. The environment in which the child/adolescent is growing and developing, is the best place to impact change. Children/adolescents do not exist by themselves. Successful change occurs when the significant people in a young person's life support and adapt to the changes. I utilize a variety of approaches; primarily family systems theory, strength based theory, cognitive behavioral theory as well as integrating faith based approaches as desired. I firmly believe in developing a safe, authentic and supportive therapeutic relationship where my clients can find hope.
Hobbies:
Spending time with my family (and 2 grand dogs) is my favorite thing to do. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle, reading, gardening, listening to music and hanging out with my church family.
