Personal Information:

Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach varies from client to client. I make use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies as well as solution focused strategies. In working with adolescent and young adults, it is critical to acknowledge the family system. Family dynamics play a large role in human development and greatly impact how we function in the world as well as how we form and build relationships with others. I always focus on a client's strengths in implementing any treatment plan as I believe it is our strengths that allow us to move through difficult times and develop more effective coping strategies for future developmental stressors.

Clinical Interests:
I work with adolescents and young adults ages 12-21, as well as their support people, who are experiencing issues with substance use, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, school issues, behavioral issues and grief and loss. I am also skilled at short-term crisis intervention.

Personal Interests:
I enjoy traveling and spending time with my two adult children. I am also very fond of my cat, Leo.
