More About Doug Briggs
Clinical Interests:
I am a previous licensed LADC, holding a degree in addiction studies from Hazelden, therefore I enjoy working with clients struggling with all forms of addiction, with particular additional training in porn, sexual addiction, and gambling. I also work with the full range of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, and grief. I have also completed training with the Autism Society of Minnesota.
Clinical Approach:
I primarily work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Twelve Step Counseling, and Narrative Therapy, however, my choice of therapy is dependent on the needs of any given client.
Hobbies:
I especially enjoy time with my wife and family of four children, their spouses, and my 9 grandchildren. I'm not a bad cook, enjoy movies and live theatre, and do a little audiobook narration as a hobby.
