More About Drew Flaschberger
Clinical Interests:
I have provided mental health services in a variety of settings and age ranges (from Pre-Schoolers to Adults) throughout my counseling career. Previously, I was a Clinical Supervisor for a School Linked Mental Health program providing counseling and services to both children and their parents/family in a school setting. My clinical interests emphasize behavioral/neurodevelopmental challenges in children/adolescents, strengthening interpersonal and familial relationships, and navigating stessors posed by life transitions in all ages.
Clinical Approach:
In my practice, I often draw from several approaches (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused) simply because every individual is unique and what might be helpful for some is not always helpful for all in therapy. As for a clinical approach, it would be easier defined as 'Client Centered' where the clients I work with shape the course/gameplan in therapy. I believe that everyone has something to offer to the world and, regardless of past circumstances, can find ways to live a better life with some direction.
Hobbies:
I enjoy being outside in the summer months! Often I find myself playing a round of Disc Golf and always looking to find/play new courses. During those colder months, I am an avid movie watcher (especially when any superhero movies get released).
