Clinical Interests:
I enjoy helping clients of all ages to help process challenges that they may face throughout their days and lives. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, stress, and simply helping anyone motivated to come to therapy to create meaningful change in their lives. I also have a keen interest in one day working with athletes to both improve on-field performance using sports psychology techniques, as well as deconstructing the stigmas surrounding seeking mental health help in that environment.
Clinical Approach:
As a clinical intern, it is my goal to be as receptive and open to new ideas while I embark on my training and growth as a therapist. I have been drawn to the effectiveness of CBT, motivational interviewing, psycho-dynamic therapy, as well as ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). I hope to take bits and pieces of each of these processes to create a unique but effective form of therapy that incites change at all levels for the client. My number one goal as a clinician is to create a warm and positive environment where my clients feel safe and supported during their therapeutic journey.
Hobbies:
My hobbies include spending time outdoors playing baseball, golf, fishing, hiking, enjoying good weather, and seeing family and loved ones as much as I possibly can!
