Clinical Interests:
I am devoted to providing compassionate, evidence-based care throughout the life span, with a special emphasis on mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-informed care, and adolescent mental health.
My clinical interests are:
Depressive and anxiety disorders: Using tools like the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 to guide treatment plans and track progress.
Trauma-Informed Care: A comprehensive, strengths-based approach to supporting people with PTSD and complex trauma histories.
Psychotic disorders: utilizing a holistic approach to ensure patient-centered care.
Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry: with the goal of addressing early-onset mental health disorders through developmentally appropriate care and early intervention tactics.
Psychopharmacology and Medication Management: Creating personalized treatment programs that combine psychopharmacological methods, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions.
Integrative and collaborative care that involves working closely with interdisciplinary teams to organize care that addresses both mental and physical health concerns.
I’m also interested in quality improvement efforts that improve access to mental health services and encourage culturally competent, stigma-free treatment.
Clinical Approach:
My therapeutic approach is founded on a comprehensive, patient-centered philosophy that combines evidence-based practice, empathy, and collaborative treatment. I see the therapeutic alliance as a basis for good treatment and strive to establish a secure, nonjudgmental environment in which people feel heard, respected, and empowered in their recovery. I use extensive psychiatric examinations, psychopharmacological management, and therapies that are tailored to each patient’s individual needs. My work is governed by current clinical recommendations, but it is always customized to reflect the individual’s lived experiences, cultural background, and therapeutic choices. I utilize the following clinical approach: motivational interviewing, Psychoeducation to increase self-confidence, and, when appropriate, collaborate on treatment planning with patients and families. I believe in the importance of integrative mental health care, which addresses biological, psychological, and social aspects of mental well-being while working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.
Hobbies:
Hobbies: Mindfulness and meditation, Yoga/fitness training, volunteering in mental health outreach, attending continuing education seminars, hiking/nature walks, spending time with my family, cooking / baking, and traveling.
