More About Gabriela Smith
Clinical Interests:
I work with adolescents, young adults, and caregivers through life’s transitions—navigating relationships, managing big emotions, finding their voice, and staying grounded during busy or challenging seasons. I help people with a variety of concerns, some include but are not limited to: Anxiety Disorders, Depression, life transitions, relationship conflict, youth and student challenges (school avoidance), trauma, behavioral challenges and caregiver stress.
Clinical Approach:
My therapeutic approach is tailored to individual needs and integrates DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), DBT Skills, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Hobbies:
In my day-to-day life, I really enjoy the little things like my morning coffee, walks with my dogs, and soaking in the beauty of Northern Minnesota, no matter the weather. I enjoy spending time outdoors year-round and often end up in, on or by a lake with my family. I played many sports growing up and in adulthood have loved the challenge of running half-marathons.
