More About Jamie Pendelton

Clinical Interests:

My clinical interests center around creating inclusive, affirming spaces for individuals navigating life transitions, identity development, trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. I’m especially passionate about supporting BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ individuals, teens, at-risk youth, and those impacted by systemic barriers, stigma, and social injustice. I also have strong interests in men’s mental health, end-of-life care, and helping clients explore meaning, spirituality, and resilience across all stages of life. My work is informed by a holistic, person-centered lens with an emphasis on cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and positive narrative reframing. I’m committed to meeting people where they are and walking with them toward healing and self-defined growth.

Clinical Approach:

My clinical approach is person-centered, holistic, and eclectic, with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and analytical theory. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs, goals, and pace of the individual, incorporating elements from multiple modalities to support emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being. I draw from trauma-informed care, strength-based work, and positive psychology, while also using mindfulness-based and narrative techniques when appropriate. I believe healing happens through authentic connection, trust, and collaboration—and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. Rooted in cultural humility, I honor each client’s lived experience, spiritual beliefs, and identity. Whether we’re engaging in goal setting, reflective dialogue, skill-building, or simply sitting together in silence, my priority is to support you in the way that feels most meaningful and effective for you.

Hobbies:

I love being outdoors, especially anything that involves water, like kayaking or just relaxing by the lake. I’m also a big fan of travel, I enjoy cooking and finding new things to try, and I’ve also taken up sewing recently which I find to be a way to ground in the moment. I spend a lot of time at home with my family and love experiencing new places, people, and perspectives whenever I get the chance.
