More About Jenal Brant
Clinical Interests:
I have a strong passion for working with children, adolescents, and families, particularly within underserved and high-needs populations. My clinical experience spans a range of settings, including juvenile justice, foster care and adoption systems, shelters, residential treatment centers, and higher levels of care. I have worked extensively in crisis services, including mobile crisis teams, and have a focused interest in trauma, problematic sexual behavior, and complex behavioral and emotional needs. Additionally, I am committed to providing affirming and inclusive care to individuals across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum and those exploring or navigating diverse identities.
Clinical Approach:
I am committed to meeting each individual and family exactly where they are on their journey, with empathy, respect, and curiosity. I understand that all behavior serves a purpose, and I view symptoms not as problems to fix, but as meaningful signals of underlying experiences. Together, we will explore the root causes of your concerns and work collaboratively to identify strategies that align with your goals and values.
My approach is integrative and flexible, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities to best support your unique needs in each session. I place a strong emphasis on cultural humility and holistic wellness, honoring the diverse beliefs, identities, and life experiences that shape your worldview and sense of belonging.
I invite you to bring your full, authentic self into the therapy space; your story matters, and your voice is essential. In turn, I will show up with authenticity and a genuine commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Hobbies:
In my free time, I love to travel and experience the unique cultures and landscapes across different states. I’m especially drawn to the outdoors—whether it’s hiking through scenic trails or chasing the serenity of hidden waterfalls, nature is where I find the most peace. I also cherish quality time with friends and loved ones, believing that meaningful connections fuel both joy and growth.
Outside of recreation, I’m passionate about making a difference. I’m actively involved in breaking down systemic barriers and addressing issues that impact the individuals and communities I serve. Volunteering is more than a passion—it’s a pathway for creating lasting change while continuing to grow personally and professionally. Whether at the local, state, or global level, I strive to be part of progress that uplifts others.
