Jenny has 25 plus years of combined personal and professional experience in the social work, mental health and non-profit services fields and has interacted with multiple therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Recovery Model, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Enhanced Illness Management Recovery Model, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Attachment Based Therapy.
Jenny believes in a holistic (mental, emotional, spiritual and physical), strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to therapy. She has a special interest in counseling preteens, teens, young adults and adults who have experienced some form of trauma (physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, grief and loss or other traumatic experiences) and have a desire to be supported through their healing journey.
Clinical Approach:
Jenny’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Collaborative Therapy. This is a systemic model where she works with individuals, groups and families with a mindset that makes the client the “expert” of their own story and the therapist, the “expert” of the facilitation process of the healing/change and growth that the family or individual is desiring.
Hobbies:
Jenny enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading books for fun and for learning and following all of the singing and cooking contests/shows.
