More About Kate Mack
Clinical Interests:
Clients often seek me for therapy when they are going through major life transitions, or are stuck in life and know they need a change. I work with adults of all ages, but especially am drawn to working with young adults and college age students.
I work with people struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, ADHD, and other life stressors.
Clinical Approach:
I strive to create a healing place that is both warm and bright where clients can heal, grow, and figure out what is holding them back. Clients often say that my down-to-earth style puts them at ease. In my therapy sessions, I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Brainspotting.
My approach also draws from systems theory, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness.
Hobbies:
I am a queer woman, Minneapolis dweller, sober person, and former wilderness guide. In my free time, I like to take meandering walks, read, lift heavy things, and have excessively long brunches.
