More About Katie Feuell
Clinical Interests:
In my career, I have worked with both adolescents and adults on issues ranging from depression and anxiety to serious and persistent mental illnesses and substance abuse. My current interests center on anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-harm and suicidal ideation, and more specifically how those are experienced by adolescents and young adults.
Clinical Approach:
My clinical approach is rooted in person centered care and I will always put the needs and interests of my clients first. I view my role as a collaboration with a client, where we work together to determine the best way to meet their needs. I have been trained in motivational interviewing and often use it to help clients identify their goals and solutions to problems. I am also a big believer in the mind-body connection and like to utilize mindfulness in my approach to therapy.
Hobbies:
Outside of work, I love to read and am often reading two or three books at once. I enjoy being active and outside, whether that be hiking, swimming or yoga. I love listening to music, especially when it is being performed live. Cooking and baking bring me so much joy, especially when I can share my creations with others.
