More About Katy Hartman Valine
Clinical Interests:
I enjoy working with adolescents and the elderly, as well as women and men of all ages. My therapeutic interests include trauma, substance use, spirituality, grief, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and assisting victims of abuse.
Clinical Approach:
Sometimes in life, it's helpful to have someone walk alongside us through difficult times. I view therapy as a creative partnership, holding genuine concern and empathy for my clients, while we focus on growth, goals, and solutions to problems. My therapeutic approach is Person Centered and Solution Focused, but I also believe that healing is a holistic pursuit of nurturing mind, body, and spirit, while taking into account familial influences. As a Christian, I am open to incorporating faith into the therapeutic process at the discretion of the client. My desire is to guide clients in the direction of hope and positive change for their lives.
Hobbies:
My favorite things in life are relationships: my faith, my family, and friends. I love nature, hiking, biking, music, art, dogs, and kiddos.
