More About Liz Seelow
Clinical Interests:
I work with individuals with a wide variety of difficulties including anxiety, depression, interpersonal concerns, mood dysregulation, phase of life concerns, sleep issues, low self-esteem/wort, amongst other concerns. I enjoy joining with those who are struggling to regulate their emotions, and work to manage distress more effectively. Regarding my therapeutic modalities, I gain skills and techniques to aid clients in their therapeutic journey through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
Clinical Approach:
I look forward to joining with individuals in their unique and personal process through therapy. I take a strengths-based approach with individuals as they identify what their own personal goals are in their counseling journey. I strive to help an individual focus on their skills to be able to address the many difficult situations that arise in life. I encourage individuals to give permission to the wide range of emotions they experience, and to then partner those with the reality of their situation. This approach allows individuals to feel less shame about their current experience, and strength to continue through difficult times. I enjoy working with the different components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to enhance each individual’s capabilities.
Hobbies:
I enjoy traveling, shopping, cooking and baking both new and practiced recipes, and spending time with those I love!
