More About Madeline Grubb
Clinical Interests:
I am a student at the University of Minnesota pursuing my Masters in Counseling Education. My areas of interest include women's health, sexual wellness, LGBTQ+ mental health, grief and dying, couples and family therapy, & spiritual diversity. I have experience working with adolescents and young adults in a variety of areas, and experience serving a diverse community. I value life-long learning and am always seeking to diversify and expand my knowledge.
Clinical Approach:
I understand that everyone's story and situation is complex and unique. I use ecological systems theory, attachment, and person centered theory as well as existentialism and CBT as the framework for which to build an individualized approach off of. I believe in honesty and collaboration with clients, and the importance of compassion, authenticity, and autonomy.
Hobbies:
I'm a self taught roller skater and painter, a binge-watcher, crystal collector, and a book lover. I believe in the healing properties of meditation, and like to incorporate nature when the weather allows.
