Clinical Interests:
I specialize in treating people with substance use disorder from a wide range of backgrounds. I have worked in residential as well as intense outpatient program environments and am now working in the outpatient treatment arena.
Clinical Approach:
My counseling approach utilizes evidence-based techniques that are tailored to meet each person’s unique needs with emphasis on patient centered, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention strategies. I touch upon all approaches and models of recovery in my work from being in recovery myself for over three decades.
My goal for each patient is to help them to establish their own recovery that can serve as a centerpiece to future filled with success and serenity.
Hobbies:
I’m the father of two grown children – a son and daughter who keep my young. My yearly highlights include an annual late summer trip to BWCA and Golden Gopher Football in the fall.
