More About Melissa Mork
Melissa has worked in the field of mental health and mental illness for more than 20 years. She is a former department chair and currently serves as tenured professor, teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs on clinical and counseling psychology. She is an international speaker, a Certified Humor Professional (CHP), the author of the book, “Bounce: From surviving to thriving through loss,” and host of the podcast, “Mental Health with Dr. Melissa Mork.”
Using questions based in solid theory and clinically-based best practices, Melissa assists the client in setting goals, identifying obstacles, and creating a plan to accomplish those goals. With access to multiple databases and thousands of articles on the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, including the most current research, the counseling session will be guided by client wishes and sound therapy practices.
When she is not throwing herself fully into her professional roles, Melissa enjoys posting on TikTok, SCUBA diving, throwing ugly pottery and laughing at her own jokes.
