More About NorKhadijah Lindgren
Clinical Interests:
As a therapist, I’m deeply passionate about supporting individuals navigating the complexities of identity, belonging, and healing. My clinical focus includes working with Muslim, Southeast Asian, racially mixed, BIPOC, and first-generation clients, as well as those with multicultural backgrounds who may be grappling with questions of identity and cultural integration. I offer a safe and affirming space to explore experiences with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, and career uncertainty. I am especially attuned to the unique challenges that arise from racism, discrimination, and intergenerational trauma, and I strive to walk alongside clients as they process grief and loss, reclaim their narratives, and rediscover their strengths. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a belief in the resilience of every individual.
Clinical Approach:
In my work, I draw from a range of evidence-based and holistic therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, while incorporating mindfulness practices to cultivate awareness, presence, and emotional regulation. My foundation is rooted in person-centered therapy, where I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space that honors each client’s autonomy and inner wisdom. I also bring in principles from feminist therapy, which acknowledges the impact of social and cultural systems on mental health and empowers clients to reclaim their voice. When helpful, I encourage creative expression through writing, art, movement, or other mediums as a way to deepen self-understanding and healing. I believe in a flexible, collaborative process that respects your lived experience and helps you connect more fully to yourself and your values.
Hobbies:
Outside of therapy, I enjoy expressing myself creatively through art, painting, sculpture, and scrapbooking, these activities help me stay grounded and inspired. I love spending time in nature, especially going on walks to recharge and connect with the outdoors. I’m always excited to explore new places, whether through traveling, trying different restaurants, or discovering unique coffees and teas. I also enjoy video games and animation as fun, immersive ways to relax and engage with storytelling and creativity. These hobbies not only bring me joy, but they also remind me of the importance of curiosity, play, and balance in everyday life.
