More About Pam Kubesh

Clinical Interests:

Do you find yourself struggling with loneliness, loss of joy, constant worry? Do you feel tired, overwhelmed, and hopeless? Have you dealt with trauma or abuse? Do you feel there is no place to turn? You don’t have to get through it alone.

I specialize in working with individuals from adolescents through adulthood with trauma and abuse histories, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, relationship issues, dealing with life transitions, and other stressors in order to give them the tools to meet their full potential and create a fullfilliing lifestyle for themselves.

I have provided services to individuals, groups, couples and families for the past 30 years in a variety of settings: in-home, schools, day treatment programs, outpatient office settings, and co-occurring chemical use/mental health treatment programs. This has given me experience with people of all ages with a wide variety of struggles.

Clinical Approach:

As a therapist, I have always felt it was a true privilege when people chose to bring me into their life story and to be able walk beside them on their journey to find hope, healing, and meaning in their life. I am here to listen, to give you feedback and help you reflect in order to make sense of it all, and to help you find solutions.

In providing therapy services I take a person centered approach while also looking at and helping individuals understand how their social environment is impacting their behaviors and struggles. I utilize a variety of therapy models to include narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT skills, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and EMDR. I draw from these models to find the best fit for each indiviual. I believe you will find me to be respectful, non-judgmental, trustworthy, caring and compassionate.

In my personal time I enjoy crafting, reading/book clubs, quilting, enjoying being on the beautiful MN lakes boating, fishing, etc., gardening and just hanging out enjoying the company of family and friends.
