More About Priscilla Hoover
Clinical Interests:
I have experience working with individuals across the lifespan, with a specialization in supporting children and adolescents. My areas of focus include supporting clients with anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem challenges, stress management, grief and loss, and life transitions. I am passionate about creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and feel empowered in their growth.
Clinical Approach:
I believe in meeting each client where they’re at—no pressure, no judgment—just a supportive space to be yourself. I take a holistic and flexible approach to therapy, pulling from a variety of evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Every person is different, so I tailor sessions to fit your unique needs, goals, and pace. My goal is to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable exploring what’s on your mind, building helpful tools, and growing into a stronger, more balanced version of yourself.
Hobbies:
Outside of the office, I love spending time with my golden retriever, Oliver – he’s always up for a walk or just relaxing by my side. I enjoy quality time with family and friends, traveling when I can, and Iowa Hawkeye football.
