More About Rebecca Pihl

Clinical Interests:

I have spent my career working with teens, young adults and adults with a variety of mental health concerns from adjusting to life changes to severe interpersonal trauma. I have particular interest and training in working with individuals struggling with self-injury and/or trauma.

Clinical Approach:

I strongly believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives and my job is to help them get where they want to go. I look at each one of my clients as an individual that's made up of their past experiences, their current circumstances and their interactions with their environment. I focus on building the therapeutic relationship first. I also believe it's important for me to help reduce stigma around mental health concerns by starting with each client I work with.

Hobbies:

I love to read and have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter. When the weather cooperates, nothing can beat reading near water. I enjoy being active and playing sports. Music is a big part of my life and I'm always looking for a good concert.
