More About Reza Mikhaeil
Clinical Interests:
I have spent the majority of my career working with individuals who struggle with a severe and persistent mental illness including schizophrenia and bipolar disorders including schizoaffective disorder. I have worked the last three years with individuals who are living with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Some of the clients I have worked with had involvement with the legal system and some did not. Most importantly, my clinical interests involve helping individuals who have been affected by mental illness, establish goals and work towards accomplishing those goals.
Clinical Approach:
I primarily focus on solution focused therapy, where goals are set and then they are accomplished through a variety of techniques taken from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, some Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, Active Listening Skills, and Motivational Interviewing Skills.
Hobbies:
I enjoy reading and writing, listening to music from a variety of genres, and spending time in the outdoors.
