More About Shauna Hendrickson
Clinical Interests:
I have worked with people of all ages and abilities, but especially enjoy working with the adolescent population. My specialty is teaching DBT skills, bringing a wide range of activities to practice mindfulness. I especially find the skill self-soothe as my favorite because it is multi-faceted; as it embraces aspects of self care, self love, the sensory processing systems, and is powerful in assisting to be in the moment.
Clinical Approach:
I work with a trauma-informed approach, as understanding everyone has different life experiences, abilities, and needs. I am kind, have a soft nature, and teach skills creatively in a person-centered approach, tailoring the strengths and interests of my client.
Hobbies:
I am an outdoor enthusiast, finding much enjoyment in kayaking, hiking, and camping. My hobbies include many forms of art and music as a form of self-expression. I am an animal person and like learning more about the therapeutic bond between people and animals.
