Mediation is a process that enables people to settle disputes on their own terms, avoid the high costs and stress of litigation, and to reach a resolution that both parties will feel satisfied with. Mediators are trained professionals and use well established techniques to open and improve dialogue between two parties. The end goal of mediation is a clear agreement amongst the participants where all parties feel satisfied. Additionally, the mediator aims to enhance the future relationship of the parties involved. The mediation process is private and confidential and generally takes much less time than standard legal procedures.
Mediation is used in the following circumstances:
- Custody & Parenting Time Arrangements
- Post-Decree Disputes
- Neighbor Disputes
- Tenant & Landlord Disputes
- Workplace Disputes
