My areas of interest include treating trauma, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, and adjustment disorders. I enjoy working with adults and families.
My therapeutic approach integrates a variety of interventions dependent on where a client is at and what their needs are. I believe that everyone encompasses the inner strength and resiliency that is needed for healing, and I am here as a guide to help you tap into those resources. I am passionate about the use of Somatic Therapy, which focuses on the mind-body connection and how they work together to provide healing. This theory proposes that our bodies can carry built up tension from trauma, which can negatively impact our physical and psychological functioning. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing techniques and combine this with talk therapy to help foster holistic healing. I also incorporate aspects of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.
I enjoy yoga, exercise, travel, watching movies, and trying new restaurants. I love spending time with my dog, family, and friends.
