Clinical Interests:
I treasure meaningful moments where I see hope in the eyes of a client and recognition of their own significance. I have the rewarding privilege of entering into the lives of individuals and families as their stories of strength and perseverance unfold while together we share obstacles and successes. I have training and experience working with children ages 5 and up, adolescents, adults and couples. I specialize in trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, shame, grief and loss, and relational issues.
Clinical Approach:
I utilize a variety of approaches which include strengths-based, client-centered, and solution-focused approaches. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I am strongly influenced by the family systems approach and examining what impact family dynamics have on a person's development and ways of interacting with others.
I enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, skiing and spending time with my family.
