Outpatient Mental Health Practitioner
I currently work with individual adults. Some of my clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, young adults, adjustment disorders, transition, stress, and relationship issues.
Some of the things that I desire for you in the counseling process: to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I aim to connect with people from a place of compassion, empathy, and curiosity. I do not claim to have the magic solution to what you are going through, I believe that people are more complex than that; however, I am passionate about collaborating with you and offering what I can to help as you bravely tackle the important work of navigating through whatever it is that has brought you here. I deeply respect your decision to use counseling as a resource and I consider it a privilege to work with you. Everyone is different and I aim to individualize treatment for each person. I have a Person-Centered approach to counseling and the theories that inform my work with clients include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also tend to incorporate self-compassion work and aspects of systems thinking (understanding the parts that exist within each person).
In my personal life I enjoy being outside, snuggling with my dog, singing, watching shows with my husband, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
