CTSS School Based Mental Health Services Therapist, Mental Health Practitioner
Clinical interests include trauma, depression, PTSD, communication skills, grief, self-esteem, and many other stressors life and throughout the lifespan.
My main focuses include strength-based, solution-focused, trauma-informed therapy, and systems approach. When first working with clients, I like to find out what their current goals are and/or what is the main reason they are seeking therapy at this moment in time. With this I then like to build rapport and a therapeutic relationship with my clients. I also believe the person centered approach is very important. I like to begin all sessions by checking in and seeing what has changed since the last session. I like the use of establishing smaller goals, to get to the bigger goals and the use scaling questions.
I value the time I get with friends and family, as well as getting to know and meet new people. I love to travel. I love sports and cheer for all Minnesota teams. Other things I enjoy are board & card games, listening to music & going to concerts, theater, exercising, long walks, bonfires, and much more. I put a lot of passion into my profession and everything I do, in my life.
