I currently specialize in treating substance use disorders in adolescents, often times in conjunction with additional mental health challenges. Additionally, my clinical interests extend to eating disorders, personality disorders, and trauma informed care.
My approach includes a blend of cognitive-behavioral theory, person-centered theory, and attachment theory that allows me to best serve the individual needs of my clients. I believe that the cornerstone for beneficial therapy is through establishing strong therapeutic rapport, meeting my clients where they are at, and empowering my clients to gain insight and make relevant changes to their lives in order to decrease maladaptive or unwanted thoughts and behaviors.
My personal interests include spending time with my family, my pets, and my friends. In terms of self-care, I enjoy outdoor activities such as ice skating, snowboarding, and relaxing in the sunshine. Finally, I am an animal lover and have two pets; one very talkative husky-lab and a fluffy, energetic kitten.
