Clinical Interests:
Child & Adolescent Therapy
Clinical Approach:
I utilize several different treatment modalities while focusing on treating the whole child. These treatment modalities include strategies from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, and Behavior Modification, as well as incorporating parent psychoeducation into sessions. With my younger population especially, I believe active parental involvement in therapy is key for the child's success in developing coping skills and working towards improved mental health.
Hobbies:
I spend most of my free time with my husband and daughter enjoying the outdoors. Several times a year I travel to the area I grew up in, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, to spend time with family. My husband and I also enjoy traveling abroad and experiencing new cultures and cuisine.
