Clinical Interests:
Addiction counseling with people suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. Enjoying working with individuals in a 1:1 and group setting in a co-occurring setting. Applying the Living in Balance theory, along with DBT skills and concepts.
Clinical Approach:
Working with individuals meeting them where they are at with a client-centered approach. Implementing motivational interviewing skills to get to know clients. Using the Balance theory in the life areas: physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, environmental, and financial. Like to engage clients in numerous ways such as music, art, family, in both SUD and with MH overtones, all while providing a stable and safe environment for them to explore all areas openly.
My motto is life is an adventure, so live it! My adventures include traveling with friends and family, hiking, kayaking, camping, golfing, visiting with friends and family, and crossing items off my life bucket list on a regular basis.
