Outpatient Mental Health Professional
In psychological testing, I work with children (6+), adolescents and adults to clarify diagnoses including assessing for autism, Intellectual disability, ADHD, depression, anxiety, attachment disorder, PTSD and other emotional disorders. In therapy, I work primarily with children (3+) and adolescents who have experienced hardship, family difficulties, abuse, attachment concerns, and PTSD. I also work with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns. I also work with adults who have experienced attachment concerns and PTSD.
In psychological testing, I use a variety of psychological tests to assess functioning and difficulties in a variety of areas. I initially will meet with you to ask questions and get to know reasons for seeking psychological testing and to understand your/your child's personal history. I then will meet with you/your child for one to three 2-hour appointments to administer testing and possibly gather more information. After testing has been completed, I will meet with you to discuss results of testing and recommendations, ensuring that you understand test results. In therapy, I take a variety of approaches but generally therapy consists of meeting clients where they are currently at and working with them to create growth. I believe that most people have an innate ability for change and I work as a facilitator for therapy and join you to help promote change. I utilize play therapy, sand tray therapy, and talk therapy depending on you or your child's needs. I also use a trauma-informed approach when treating trauma and attachment difficulties.
I enjoy hiking, swimming, taking walks, playing with my dogs, and making jewelry.
