Clinical Interests:

I find a very strong connection to people who are under going challenges, especially where stigma, judgement, entrenched beliefs or thoughts are active. These challenges can dominate thought patterns in all walks of life. I have also worked with Military and First Responders and the sometimes unique challenges they have undergone. I strive to lead clients on work that will help to identify and change unhealthy thinking and behavioral patterns, while also addressing connections with others, problem-solving, coping skills, goal setting, and developing a more positive pursuit forward in life. Where new tools are developed or old tools reshaped. (Challenges are defined by negative influences, thoughts, behaviors, or actions- to include MH concerns and Substance Use Disorders).

Clinical Approach:

I am committed to providing a respectful, client centered counseling program to my clients and help them achieve there best self. My goal is to meet each person where they are at, then provide the most effective mental health intervention available that builds on the strengths of the individual. To help the client develop their tools I walk alongside and have my own tool box out filled with Strength-based, Narrative, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Substance Use related, Solution-focused, CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused theories/interventions to use as needed. I believe the most successful outcomes, often start with challenging beginnings.

Hobbies:

I enjoy traveling, urban exploration, cutting the lawn, cooking and being a part of something greater then myself.
