More About Randi Butwin

Clinical Interests:

I work well with individuals experiencing relationship issues, anxiety and life transitions.

I also work with couples using the Gottman method of couples therapy. Most couples come in when they are struggling with communication and feel disconnected. I help both members of the couple adjust their communication as needed to ensure they are heard and understood within their relationship. This leads to improved connection and a more satisfying relationship.

I also work with adolescents ages 12-18 who are figuring out who they are and who they want to become.

Clinical Approach:

I believe in a person centered feminist approach. None of us live in a vacuum; our environment and life circumstances have an impact on functioning and mental health. My clinical experience has led me to the belief that the client has to be the expert on themselves. The client is the one living their life experience, my job is to provide support and guidance to help each client improve their life in the way that fits best for them.

Hobbies:

I enjoy reading psychological thrillers and dystopian fiction. I also enjoy hiking, being out in nature, waterfalls and traveling.
