Question: Do I have to wear high heels?
Answer:  No. Wearing high heels is optional, supporting the event is what is most important.

 

Question: Can women and kids walk too?
Answer: Yes, women and kids are welcome and encouraged to participate in the walk.

 

Question: What if I don’t have high heels?
Answer: We will have shoes available at the walk to borrow on a first come first served basis. If you would like to purchase your own shoes we suggest purchasing them at one of the following websites:

Question: What if I can’t find shoes that fit?
Answer: If we can’t find high heels that fit, or if you have physical issues that prevent you from wearing heels, you will have the option of decorating the shoes you have on or just wearing your regular shoes.   

 

Question: Do I have to be part of a walk team to participate?
Answer:
No, you do not need to be part of a walk team to participate.

 

Questions: How far do I have to walk?
Answer: The walk will be approximately 1 mile.

 

Question: Can I just watch and not walk?
Answer: Yes. Spectators and supporters of the cause are always welcome.

 

Question: Who will receive the financial proceeds from this walk?
Answer: Proceeds will be donated to The Alexandra House. The Alexandra House provides domestic and sexual violence services to women, men, youth, and families. All services are free-of-charge and include 24-hour emergency shelter, legal advocacy, therapy, support groups, youth intervention, and prevention service, abuse in later life resource, community education, and professional training, and more. Question: What if I am unable to make it to the walk but still want to donate to the walk?
Answer:When visiting the Eventbrite walk registration page click “register” and select “Donate” to donate to the walk.

 

Question: Will there be parking?
Answer: Yes. There is a parking garage located adjacent to the City Hall Plaza where the walk will be held. There will be no fee to park in the parking garage. There will also be street parking available.

 

Question: Can I volunteer to help?
