Monica Lieser Honored by St. Louis University with the Prestigious Michael Garanzini Award

Sandhill Counseling & Consultation and Nystrom & Associates are proud to announce that Monica Lieser received the 2023-24 Michael Garanzini Award from St. Louis University’s Medical Family Therapy Program and Department of Family and Community Medicine. A licensed marriage family therapist and professional counselor, Lieser founded St. Louis-based Sandhill Counseling & Consultation in 2009. Nystrom, one of the largest behavioral health organizations in the country, acquired Sandhill in 2023 where Lieser is currently a director of operations in the Missouri market.
The Michael Garanzini Award honors an individual for their dedication to providing the highest quality services in the St. Louis community. This person has also inspired and advocated for students to advance their clinical training and serve diverse populations.

Based in St. Louis, Monica has authored a book, has guest presented on many mental health topics, has taught graduate courses, and has practiced therapy for nearly 20 years. Monica's past clinical experience includes individual therapy and couple and family therapy in the areas of anxiety and depression issues, grief/loss, sexuality, and life transitions.
