Clinical Interests:
My areas of interest include treating trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and relationship issues. I work primarily with individuals ages 16 and up.
Clinical Approach:
My therapeutic approach integrates a variety of interventions dependent on where a Client is at and what their needs are. I believe that everyone encompasses the inner strength and resiliency that is needed for healing, and I am here as a guide to help you tap into those resources. I hold that the therapeutic relationship between myself and a Client is the most important part of effective therapy. I strive to ensure a every Client feels welcome, supported, and safe. All are welcome.
I am passionate about the use of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and somatic experiencing techniques. I believe that the mind-body connection is highly important for holistic healing. I also incorporate aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, and crisis intervention.
Hobbies:
I enjoy yoga, exercise, travel, watching movies, and trying new restaurants. I love spending time with my dog, family, and friends.
