Alyssa has fifteen years of experience in the child development field. Alyssa is skilled in the art of counseling children through Play, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is a master’s graduate of Capella University specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC).

Alyssa is a personable, compassionate therapist who will provide a safe haven for clients to work through their past and present relationship needs. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to assist them develop their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to achieving. She incorporates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a personalized approach designed to each client.

Clinical Approach:

Alyssa practices in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy (PCT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and utilizes concepts from somatic practices, and other body-based professions.

Alyssa understands that much of human suffering can be explained by how the brain stores fear and other complex emotions. Alyssa uses this knowledge to help clients learn about their bodies, their brains, and why/how information has been stored in their brain/body. This often helps clients integrate emotions and memories.

Alyssa is and artist, mother and swimmer. She enjoys summer days on Lake Minnetonka and spending time with her loved ones. Alyssa loves reading, music and listening to her children play their string instruments.
