More About Amber Meagher

Clinical Interests:

My clinical experience and interests include: eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self esteem. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and am a member of the DBT team in Maple Grove. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

Clinical Approach:

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy both in and outside of the DBT program. Along with this, I identify with a person-centered approach where I also bring in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My goal is to meet clients where they are at and work with them in a way that fits their needs at the time.

Hobbies:

I enjoy reading, going to the gym, cooking, and trying new foods. Family and friends are important to me so I try to spend as much time with them as I can.
