More About Angela Kuhns

Clinical Interests:

Angela has a passion for working with individuals to cultivate insight, compassion, and healing.

Clinical Approach:

Angela’s approach to therapy is an integrative method that addresses the wellbeing and wholeness of the individual, acknowledging that as human beings we are both unique and connected by simply being alive. She draws from many theories such as: Person-Centered, Existential, Humanistic, Jungian, Solution-Focused, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and Hakomi, among others. That being said, Angela believes the most significant factor in counseling is a strong therapeutic relationship based in compassion and non-judgement. Working together, Angela and her clients seek to fully understand challenges, build new skill sets, and embrace being fully human. Treatment is tailored specifically to the individual in order to best address each client’s needs and personal goals.

Hobbies:

In her personal life, Angela enjoys spending time with her wife and their yellow lab, friends, and family. She delights in spending time on the family farm, nature, photography, live music, and podcast like Ask Science Mike, On Being, and Tara Brach.
