More About Ann Wheaton

Clinical Interests:

I work with ages 10 and up providing individual, group and couples counseling. My interests include but are not limited to working with individuals with self-injurious or suicidal behavior, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, personality disorders as well as conduct disorders issues and adjustments issues.

Clinical Approach:

I feel that therapy begins with building a trusting and safe relationship between the therapist and client. I operate from a client centered and strength based approached. Specific interventions used are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE)

I enjoy going to the lake, reading, scrapbooking and spending time with my family and friends.
